Before a guest ever opens your website, they've often started to make up their mind — from what they see on Google Maps, on your Facebook page, or in a LINE chat a friend forwarded. For a small hotel or guesthouse, that first impression frequently shapes the booking before your homepage gets a chance.
Guests check you out before they visit your site
A traveller sees your name, searches Google or Facebook, and within seconds looks at three things: recent photos, recent reviews, and how quickly you reply. If it looks active and tended, they'll likely go on to your site. If it looks unattended, they may decide before they ever reach your website.
Your Facebook page is the first place guests really land
In Thailand, many guests message a Page long before they fill in a form or book online. A page with an easy-to-read name, a pinned post that says plainly what the property is, who it suits, and how to book direct, current room photos, and fast replies builds confidence from the start — better than a beautiful but static website.
Google Business Profile is the map that brings guests to you
Fill it fully: correct pin, hours, phone, LINE, real photos, and a link straight to your booking page. A complete, accurate profile lets people who find you on Google grasp the key details at once — and sends them to your direct-booking page instead of an OTA or another booking site.
Reviews are the trust you can't write yourself
A few recent, genuine reviews — answered politely in Thai and English — reassure a guest more than any line on your homepage. Invite happy guests to leave one, and reply to every review, the appreciative ones and the ones with suggestions alike.
The website then helps guests decide to book
None of this replaces your website — it brings interested guests to it. Social and Maps help people notice you and start to trust you; the site's job is to make the room choice clear and booking easy. Get the order right: let guests see the property is ready to welcome them first, then bring them to a site that's easy to book on.
If your Page, your Google profile, and your site don't yet link to each other cleanly, that's usually the first thing worth checking. We can check where guests most often drop off.
